How to book Nightjet
ÖBB Nightjet sells seats, couchettes and sleepers. Search connecting day legs on EuroRail Times, then book the overnight berth via All Aboard or ÖBB when the sleeper product is listed.
Reservation rules
A berth reservation is mandatory. Couchette (4/6) and sleeper (1–3) quotas open about 6 months ahead. Interrail/Eurail pass holders still need a paid reservation — Sparschiene berths sell out first.
Price tips for 2026
Cheapest couchettes appear on sales opening day. Midweek shoulder seasons beat July–August and Christmas markets peaks. Compare total trip cost vs flight + hotel — the sleeper often wins.
